Joe Durant wins 3M Championship in playoff

BLAINE, Minn. — Joe Durant made a 10-foot eagle putt on the first hole of a playoff with Miguel Angel Jimenez on Sunday to win the PGA Tour Champions’ 3M Championship.

The 52-year-old Durant won on the par-5 18th after closing with a birdie on the hole in regulation for a 9-under 63. After a double-bogey on the par-4 14th, Jimenez birdied the final four holes for a 67 to match Durant at 19-under 197 at TPC Twin Cities.

Durant, Dimitroff together among top 10 at Pebble Beach

Joe Durant and Catholic High senior Madelyn Dimitroff are having a terrific experience together at the Nature Valley First Tee Open in Pebble Beach, Calif.

Durant, 52, the third leading money winner on the PGA Tour’s Champions Tour, produced a 2-under 69 Saturday at Poppy HIlls Golf Course, adjacent to Pebble Beach Golf Links, and is tied for sixth in the professional part of the tournament. He is 4-under after two rounds and four shots behind leader Kevin Sutherland.
